The Knights Hospitaller
The Knights of St John not only ruled and protected Malta for years but also carried out important hospitaller work that is reflected in this museum that recreates the life of the knights in the order that changed the history of Malta.
The Knights Hospitaller is an exhibition that recreates the life of the Order of St. John 700 years ago. The building that houses this museum is the original site of the hospital where the knights carried out their duties.
During the visit to the Knights Hospitaller, you'll pass through several rooms with simulations of knights fighting against the plague, fighting during the Great Siege of Malta and facing other adversities of the time.
It also explains how the Knights of St. John held public office and wielded political power in Malta.
