St. Julian's
Saint Julian's or San Giljan is the area most tourists flock to when looking for accommodation in Malta. The city is full of hotels, restaurants and bars with great nightlife.
On the northern coast of Malta, not too far from Valletta, one of the most touristic areas of the island can be found: St. Julian's. It's a city with a wide range of hotels exclusively dedicated to leisure and nightlife.
St. Julian's also has many historic buildings, such as the Church of Our Lady of Monte Carmelo, on the seashore, next to Balluta Bay. As well as this, St. Julian's is also home to one of Malta's very few sandy beaches: St George's Bay. This is an atmospheric area of the island and perfect for enjoying a day out in the sun.
Paceville
The main bars, local music venues and nightclubs are all centred around the neighbourhood of Paceville. This area is famous all around the island for its nightlife and young vibe, which can be experienced at any time of day.
Paceville is also home to many other cool spots such as bowling alleys, cinemas, shopping centres and even casinos.
Spinola Bay
Apart from its nightlife, St. Julian's has other attractions and places worth visiting, such as Spinola Bay. This small corner in the centre of the city is famous for typical Maltese boats: luzzus. Just like a postcard!
If you're not under any time constraints, we recommend visiting Spinola Bay at sunset to enjoy one of the best sunsets in Malta. Spinola is also known for its famous sculpture of the love of Saint Julian.
