Spinola Bay is one of the most beautiful bays on the island of Malta. Its hallmark is its small traditional boats scattered along the bay, which fill the landscape with colour.
It's a nice area for strolling, watching the sunset or having a drink on a terrace, but we don't recommend going to Spinola Bay if you're planning a day at the beach. If you want to go for a swim on a sandy beach, Balluta Bay is just a few minutes away.
How to get to Spinola Bay
If you're staying in towns such as St. Julian's or Sliema, you'll have no problem walking to Spinola Bay. From Valletta, the best option is to take the bus from the Central Bus Station. Buses 13, 14 and 16 will take you directly to Spinola Bay.
